Joan Martinez has rejoined his teammates at Real Madrid for full-scale training. The 17-year-old centre-half had made a strong impression on coach Carlo Ancelotti and the team during their preseason tour of the United States.

Unfortunately, Martinez suffered an ACL injury in August, which put his planned big role in the upcoming season in jeopardy.

Fortunately, he has now recovered in time to join the team for the Club World Cup campaign this summer.

Before the end of the season, Martinez is expected to play for Raul's Castilla team, who have three remaining games in the Primera RFEF league.
